HONORING
ROBIN LAWSON SCHEUER
“I follow my instincts and give it a whirl.” This is what Robin Scheuer does in her endeavors from art to business, with energy, passion, and generosity that may be matchless in Nyack. An Alabama native, Robin moved to New York after college to pursue acting, and met her husband John. In 1997, the couple moved to Nyack and raised Sarah and Buster. While serving as director of sales and marketing in the music industry and for the John Malino Band, Robin was a dynamic leader on the Board of the Edward Hopper House (2016-2022) helping the museum advance by connecting people and ideas. Today, Robin is a business neighbor at 90 North Broadway, a restored 1859 residence in Nyack. With Perry Lawson Fine Art, she is furthering her vision of the block as a community space filled with art. Here, Southern hospitality, creativity, and collaboration among artists, friends, organizations spill forth just as Robin extols in life.

SILENT AUCTION
Original artworks using a paint palette modeled from Hopper's own palette will be created by Artists as the highlight of our Spring Benefit Silent Auction. A sneak peek of these one-of-a-kind works, and opportunity to bid in advance, to come. Final bidding will occur at the culmination of the Benefit event.
In 2024, Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center is partnering with the Winterthur / University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation and graduate student Emily Landry to investigate Edward Hopper's materials and techniques. This is being conducted through Landry’s instrumental analysis of the paint and other contents of two paint boxes and a palette that once belonged to Edward Hopper and span the length of his career; all three objects are in the collection of the Edward Hopper House Museum.
