Celebrating a Community Vision: "Hopper's Nyack: Sketch Mob"
We are thrilled to announce a special exhibition at the Nyack Library showcasing the vibrant, collaborative spirit of our community!
Visit the Nyack Library to see over twenty five drawings and paintings. on view in the Stairway Gallery, that capture the unique streetscapes, landmarks, and people of Nyack. These works were created by artists of all skill levels and ages participating in the Edward Hopper House Museum's "Hopper's Nyack: Sketch Mob." Led by Bill Batson in 2024 and 2025, the artists were inspired by the legacy of Edward Hopper sketching his childhood hometown.
This exhibition is a proud partnership between the Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center, Urban Sketchers Nyack, the Nyack Chamber of Commerce, and the Nyack Library.
Come celebrate our community's creativity and see Nyack in a whole new way!

Come learn about how Edward Hopper sketched throughout Nyack, how the Urban Sketchers meet up to sketch in plein air, and about Bill Batson's first Nyack Sketch Mob of 2011 and how his practice has spread.

"LIGHT" March 27 - April 26, 2026 Join us to celebrate the artists selected for the 2026 Juried Exhibition! Titled "55 x 2," this exhibition is kicking off the Museum’s yearlong 55th anniversary celebration. "55 x 2" will be displayed in two parts, "Line" and "Light", (with each section showcasing works by 55 Artists) in the Museum’s galleries. |
