Weekly Instagram Competitions 

The Edward Hopper House’s Weekly Hopper-Inspired Instagram Competition allows you to submit your very own Hopper-Inspired photograph for a chance to be featured on all of our social media platforms! 

Every Monday, beginning June 8, 2015, a new hashtag is released, inspired by a different Hopper painting each time. Include the hashtag in the description for your photograph by Friday and check back on Saturday to see if you’re the winner! 

Rules:
  1.  Use the Hopper image as inspiration for your own Instagram photograph masterpiece
  2. Submit your image by including the designated hashtag featured in the description
  3. Check your privacy settings to make sure your account is public; otherwise we can’t see it!
  4. Plagiarism of any form is not acceptable. Make sure your image is original and completely your own!

Capturing Light & Shadow: Hopperesque Instagram Competition

Summer 2015
Begins Wednesday, June 17, 2015 through July 31, 2015

For this summer-long Instagram competition, we invite participants to submit an image influenced by Hopperesque light and shadow to the designated hashtag.  One winner will be selected after the end date.   This competition will have a monetary prize. The winner’s photograph will also be used in the publicity for our Small Matters of Great Importance: Light & Shadow annual juried show, which opens October 24, 2015.

Rules:
  1. Submit an image inspired by Hopper’s use of light and shadow
  2. Include the hashtag #HopperLlight
  3. Check your privacy settings to make sure your account is public; otherwise we can’t see it!
  4. Plagiarism of any form is not acceptable. Make sure your image is original and completely your own!
  5. Check in soon after the end date (July 31, 2015) to see if you’re the winner of the $100 cash prize!
