Join the Edward Hopper House Museum for a guided hike through the scenic trails at Hook Mountain, culminating in a relaxing picnic (bring your own) at the summit, or below at Marydell Faith & Life Center. As you walk these shaded trails you'll catch glimpses of the Hudson River glistening below, climb rocky paths once explored by Edward Hopper himself and enjoy stunning panoramas. Reaching the top, the view unfolds like a painting: sailboats drift along the water far below, the cliffs glow in the afternoon sun, and the skyline of distant towns nestle into the horizon. As you are immersed in this scene you feel the connection between Hopper’s artistic vision and the landscape that inspired it. Be sure to bring light cuisine, your curiosity, and your camera! 

James Prosek: Memory, Trees & Shadows

The Edward Hopper House Museum is proud to present a major new exhibition by artist, writer, and naturalist James Prosek. Through a stunning series of over twenty new works—including watercolors of native grasses, plein air canvases, and innovative sculptures—Prosek invites visitors to explore how we classify, name, and communicate our place within the natural world. 
The ever-popular summer music program kicks off starts on July 9 and runs for eight consecutive Thursday evenings in July and August from 7-9pm on the Garden Stage of the Edward Hopper House Museum. The Museum has produced "Jazz in the Garden" for over forty five years, making the Museum a dynamic hub for not only iconic VISUAL artists, but also legendary musicians and groundbreaking sounds of emerging musical artists.
