Our 2025 Spring Benefit Jazz Brunch was held on the beautiful lawn overlooking the Hudson at Marydell Faith and Life Center, and what a delightful day it was!
Proceeds directly support, advance, and preserve the Edward Hopper House and the museum’s exploration  of the creative legacy of the iconic artist and his Nyack years.

MICHAEL CASCIO

With four Emmys, two Oscar nominations and a “Producer of the Year” award, Michael Cascio was Executive Producer and Co-Director of the PBS American Masters HOPPER – An American Love Story. He has created and produced landmark documentaries including the award-winning Biography series for A&E, and National Geographic’s Inside 9/11, Restrepo, and The ’90s: The Last Great Decade?. Other recent films include At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal for HBO, which received the prestigious TV Academy Honors, Citizen Ashe for CNN, and Emmy-nominated PBS documentaries such as Munich ’72 and Beyond, Going To War, and American Masters: Duke Kahanamoku – Ambassador of Aloha. He received a B.A. in American Studies at the University of Virginia and an M.A. in Communication at American University, where he’s currently an Adjunct Professor.
CYNTHIA WEBER CASCIO

Cynthia Weber Cascio was researcher, producer and executive producer of the PBS American Masters HOPPER – An American Love Story. She is currently producing an Off Broadway play on the Hoppers, as well as films for WNET and PBS, including one on the hidden art collection in New York City’s public hospitals. She is passionate about the use of arts in medicine, advising programs in New York and Washington. As a Correspondent for CBS News, Weber Cascio reported on major events that shaped our times. She was also an anchor and reporter in television and radio in New York, Washington and Philadelphia. In addition to developing TV projects and producing, she also specializes in media strategy, philanthropy and non-profit consulting.

A native Houstonian - and now local favorite - pianist Kevin Lovejoy, with bassist Bill Morning, and drummer Dennis Mackrel added music to the morning.

Anyone near and far may bid on as many palettes as you wish. If you are not attending the June 1 Spring Benefit, you may still bid on - and win - a palette when the auction closes at the event. 

All winning bids are tax deductible. You may also make a donation to support the Edward Hopper House Museum here, too.
