The "Artist's Eye" Conversation supporting the 10th Annual Arts Education Benefit is viewable through a $25 donation, which supports the Museum's Arts Education programs. Watch online as artist TOMOKAZU MATSUYAMA is in conversation with renowned artist ERIC FISCHL, and KIM CONATY, Whitney Museum of American Art’s Nancy and Steve Crown Family Chief Curator.

On view until October 5, 2025, Tomokazu Matsuyama: Morning Sun offered a fascinating dialogue between two artists from different eras, both grappling with the complexities of modern life. Matsu’s vibrant and layered response to Edward Hopper’s work invites us to reconsider themes of isolation and introspection through a contemporary lens, highlighting the enduring relevance of Hopper’s vision while embracing new perspectives.

This Benefit helps us inspire, educate, and excite young people 
and engages a new generation through the arts!

This event supports our Nighthawks Teen Leadership, School Field Trips, After-School Workshops, “Would-Be-Artist” Community Service Project, Family Walking Tours of “Hopper’s Nyack,” the Hop Into Art Lab, and developing classroom connections within S.T.E.A.M. curriculums.
